"Feminist polygamy" refers to the reform of traditional polygamist structures to incorporate feminist ideals. For example, in a polygamous relationship of one husband and multiple wives, feminist polygamy endorses (i) the formal protection for emotional, physical, and economic equality between all the husband's wives, (ii) the right of the wives to discuss the terms of the marriage without the husband's influence, and (iii) the ability of one wife to unilaterally divorce the husband.
